I get to go to a few awards dinners and things like that, mainly ones in random industries where I go as the inspirational speaker or I'm there to thank them for a donation made to Parkinson's UK.
This was my first time attending one as a judge. It felt very different. I suddenly became very aware of the weight people put onto these awards, the whole year has been working towards it, then I jump in and give my decision whether it's better than something else.
Sitting there, seeing the joy and disappointment on people's faces, I just felt glad that I'd given it proper time and thought when judging.
Obligatory taxi selfie.
